Upcycled Turtle
Sarah created an upcycled sea turtle with the help of hundreds of children at Leeds Castle.
The creative children made the scales and the shell from waste plastics in the upcycling workshop then Sarah made them into a turtle over the course of the Easter weekend.
Lots of waste plastics were recycled to make the turtle including old blinds, folders, vinyl, plastic bags, birthday banners and of course hundreds of plastic bottles.
Shelby, as he was named by the children, is now on display in the castle’s education room.
