Bulwell Blossoms
We had the amazing opportunity to go to Our Lady OPS school in Bulwell to create a plastic bottle rainbow installation as part of the 'Bulwell Blossoms' schools project for the Bulwell Arts Festival.
Children from years 3, 4, 5 and 6 all created several flowers each from waste plastic bottles which we then displayed on their fence outside the school.
The inspiration for the installation comes from when we all coloured in rainbows and stuck them in our windows at the beginning of the pandemic. We thought we would do this but on a huge scale! The rainbow flowers are displayed on the outside fence for the local community to see. This shows our thanks to all those who worked so hard for others during the past year as we emerge from the pandemic.
So if you're passing Our Lady of Perpetual Succour School then pop by and have a look at the children's amazing artwork! Bulwell Arts Festival runs from 3rd-10th July.
